Compare all GE ultrasound machines

GE has been producing top quality ultrasound machines for decades and to this day is the brand that offers the largest selection of different diagnostic ultrasound machines. GE believes in creating the perfect machine for every application, every price point, and every mobility need. There are 27 GE ultrasound machines currently in production and 15 discontinued models are also compared here.

GE Voluson

The Voluson product line is made specifically for 3D & 4D OB/GYN and Women’s health. Neonatal cardiology, Vascular, and General Imaging applications are optional features as well. GE acquired the Voluson name and superior 4D technology from Medison, and launched it again as the Voluson 730. With GE’s development and huge marketing budget, the Voluson 730 became the most well known and biggest selling 4D ultrasound in history. GE has since built many successful units in this line as well as recently retiring the venerable Voluson 730.

GE Logiq systems are also meant for General Imaging (GI), Radiology, Musculoskeletal (MSK), Urology, and Elastography applications. GE Portable Ultrasound

GE has created more different portable ultrasound machines than any other brand, more than 2 or 3 major brands combined! Of course the GE Vivid, Logiq, and Voluson product lines have multiple portable versions, but GE has gone even smaller than the traditional laptop shaped ultrasound machine and created the first handheld and tablet-sized ultrasound machines and continues to develop this diminutive and inexpensive portables. The GE portable ultrasound segment is often grouped in the “point of care” category with mobile console systems with a limited battery.
